Designed in collaboration with the USC School of Cinematic Arts, this school will engage students with hands-on experience as they study the complex world of contemporary media and emerge with a savvy understanding of the power of the media to raise consciousness and spark change. Featuring high-profile partnerships with Hollywood’s major studios and entertainment companies, students will explore documentary filmmaking, film and TV writing and production, visual and special effects, print and broadcast journalism, media relations, advertising, and graphic and fine arts. Students will utilize a two-story professional-quality soundstage, two modern studio art rooms, a cutting-edge digital sound booth, and two state-of-the-art computerized editing labs. Each year, MFA will host a student arts and film festival showcasing student films, media pieces and artwork capturing the vibrancy of Los Angeles and the evolving nature of our society.
